Ashley: I was shattered. I didn't feel up to the short walk home alone. I rang Nicola to walk with me. To my surprise she brought Victoria and Silvia with her. I was so glad to see them. For a moment it was like old times. Something was changing but I wanted us to stay together forever. We are bound together by something more than time and place and even our shared experience.

Lost Girls
Ashley: I was proud of what the SSK Girls had accomplished. We didn't find Emily but we did help a lot of 'Lost Girls.' It's true what they say: girls are too smart to fall out of the pram. So a massive industry exists to take us by force. This isn't a fairy tail. This is real. And I'm done with waiting for a happy ending.

Ashley: Dazed and Confused
"I was still feeling dazed after Melissa left. I sat alone. Talking to her was like confession: telling your secrets to a stranger. I felt naked and vulnerable. Everything came flooding back. The good times and the bad . . ."
Tuesday 2 March 2010
Series 1, Number 18
Ashley tells Melissa about Emily.
I told Melissa my whole crazy story. About meeting Emily and her strange disappearance.
Ashley: Her last name is Blair, but we call her Emily Blur. I think I see her everywhere. When I'm alone I imagine where she might be.
Melissa was friendly and sympathetic.
Melissa: I wish there was something I could do. But I'm just here on a two-week school trip. I fly back to Dayton tomorrow.
We exchanged numbers and promised to stay in touch.
Ashley: Dayton, Ohio?! My mum used to go there on business.
Melissa: That's amazing! Look me up if you're ever in the neighborhood.
