A Beginner's Guide to The Adventures of Ashley Plath

Here are a few things to aid you in following along or catching up.

THE PICTURES
Each series is told in a numbered group of comic strips. For example, Series 1, Number 3, is the third strip in Series 1. You can see all the pages in a series by scrolling down the sidebar to the list of labels and clicking on the series number.

In addition to the main series, each character has individual pictures. These are used to give you a sense of the character and provide occasional background to the story that doesn't fit in the regular, numbered series. Clicking on a character name in the labels list will show you all the pictures featuring that character.

THE PLOT
Ashley and the girls are looking for information regarding the disappearance of their friend, Emily. Together they devise a scheme to go undercover whilst offering custom-made events for an exclusive clientele.

THE CHARACTERS
Emily Blur: missing; trained at British Museum; specialist in Tudor coins.
Ashley Plath: leader of effort to locate Emily; heir to music publishing empire.
Nicola: Russian family background; security expert; Ashley's girlfriend.
Silvia: authority on information storage and retrieval; clairvoyant.
Victoria: poses as party girl; has exact knowledge of London; panopticon theorist.
Melissa: American student and Virgin Mary devotee.

Nicola, Silvia and Victoria share a house with Ashley in South Kensington, London. Together with Ashley they are known as The SSK Girls. (SSK = Sunny South Kensington.)

THE MUSIC
Ashley was born to a world of music and often interprets real-world facts and events through song lyrics, album covers and other symptoms of pop culture overdose.
