Ashley meets the girls
We became fast friends. Soon I was spending all my time at her flat in Montague St and fell in with her museum and art crowd. I enjoyed being a patron of their creative debauchery, but I was really just there for Emily.
I preferred our quiet time together. Sometimes I even made us sandwiches.
Our friends would tease us, but I didn't care . . .
and as it happened, they would all be working for me soon enough.
